Benny Latimore scored a No 1 R&B Hit in late 1974 with ‘Lets Straighten it out’. It remains all time classic soul tracks.
Latimore’s Soulful Bluesy voice soars over the beautiful Fender Rhodes keyboards which are even more evident on the long album version. ‘Ain’t Nobody Gonna Make Me Change My Mind’ is a mid tempo soul track and ‘Put Pride Aside’ a nice ballad.
The other tracks veer towards Benny’s bluesier roots.
