Recorded at “The Secret Policeman’s Other Ball” – The 1981 Amnesty International Gala, at The Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, London on 9th, 10th, 11th & 12th september 1981.
On this album Sting performs solo versions of “Roxanne” and “Message in a bottle”. Jeff Beck and Eric Clapton Jammin´. He accompanies himself, strumming simply on electric guitar. He also sings the lead vocals on (Bob Dylan’s) “I shall be released”, together with a full band (including Phil Collins and Eric Clapton).
An amazing version of Bob Geldolf doing his boomtown rats song. Phil Collins at his absolute best. And Donvan not letting go of the 70s.
